Who: Junior Achievement High School Teams & Noble Impact Facilitation
When: Thursday, March 16 | 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (lunch provided)

The Conductor, in partnership with Junior Achievement and Noble Impact, will host a High School Startup Day with students across the state. The event will give students an opportunity to work in teams while addressing educational issues that relate to their specific needs. They will work closely with community mentors and will formulate ideas for solutions. A final pitch will be given to professionals from the social and business sector that will serve as judges.
9:30 a.m.: Welcome
9:45 a.m.: Student teams begin working on the issue and problem statement
10:00 a.m.: Mentors arrive to offer guidance and research of problem in full swing
10:30 a.m.: Student teams identify stakeholders and formulate survey for distribution
10:45 a.m.: Quick Check-In with lead facilitator
11:15 a.m.: Student teams start creating pitch decks (google slides) and formulate signature story
11:30 a.m.: Working Lunch
11:45 a.m.: Student teams submit pitch deck to lead organizer
12:00 p.m.: Pitches Begin (2 minutes each)
12:55 p.m.: Winners Announced
1:00 p.m.: Students Depart
- Students will learn new startup approaches to address issues and pitch innovative ideas
- Students will receive feedback from local entrepreneurs that will serve as mentors for the event
- Students will understand the importance of utilizing an entrepreneurial skill set to solve problems
The Conductor, a public-private partnership with the University of Central Arkansas and Startup Junkie Consulting, drives innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development in central Arkansas through high-impact programming, one-on-one consulting, commercialization support and collaboration.
